Deleting place content and using the Trash bin

You can move place content to Trash and later restore it if desired.

About this task

Procedure

  1. Depending on where you are you can remove content to Trash as follows:
    • Within an open item, you can click Delete.
    • For multiple items, select them within the view and then click Actions > Trash.
    • From an individual item's context menu select Move to Trash.
  2. To restore items, navigate to the Trash bin.
  3. You can select individual or multiple items to restore by selecting the items and clicking Restore, or restore the entire contents of trash by clicking Restore All.
    1. You can restore the following content:
      • Documents (along with associated comments and versions)
      • Document Folders (including all documents within)
      • Pages
      • Attachment with its associated posting/upload page
      • Link pages
      • Lists
      • Custom forms
    2. You cannot restore the following content:
      • Individual document versions
      • Comments without associated documents
      • Places
      • Rooms
      • Tasks
      • Calendar events
      • Discussion forum topics and replies
      • External documents (in an ECM system)
      • External library viewer
  4. Click Empty Trash to remove all items permanently.
